Coming from a family of successful entrepreneurs, he is deeply rooted in the principles of innovation, resilience, and leadership.
With a diverse professional background that includes business management, marketing, and nuclear power maintenance, Joel has developed strategic problem-solving abilities that drive sustainable growth. His service as a U.S. Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Specialist strengthened his capacity to lead under pressure and develop solutions in high-stakes environments—skills that seamlessly translate into his business and educational endeavors.
Joel’s passion for impactful change is further enriched by his experience in ministry and missions, where he honed his skills in cross-cultural communication, public speaking, and community development. This multifaceted perspective fuels his mission to restore foundational values in education while integrating cutting-edge technologies to deliver better learning outcomes.

Dr. Charles H. Steele – Director of Academic Strategy and Innovation
Dr. Charles N. Steele brings over 25 years of global academic and research experience to his role as Director of Academic Strategy and Innovation at American Education Technologies. An expert in economics, he has taught at leading institutions across the U.S., China, Russia, and Ukraine.
Currently, Dr. Steele serves as the Director of the Hillsdale College Center for Commerce and Freedom. His teaching portfolio includes Mathematical Economics, History of Economic Thought, and Environmental and Resource Economics.
With a research focus on resource economics, institutional change, and space development, Dr. Steele’s work bridges academia and practical applications. He has held leadership positions, including Visiting Scholar at Rutgers University and Project Manager at Watts and Associates, where he managed large-scale economic projects. Internationally, he helped shape Ukraine’s economic education landscape through award-winning research mentorship.
Outside of academics, Dr. Steele is a dedicated trail runner, ultramarathoner, and mountaineer.
Turner J. Korotzer – Director of Communications Technology
Turner J. Korotzer brings a unique blend of military discipline, technical expertise, and leadership experience to his role as Director of Communications Technology. As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Turner spent five years managing and deploying mission-critical data communication systems in some of the most demanding environments. His service included overseeing complex network operations both domestically and abroad.
Turner’s military career taught him the importance of precision, resilience, and adaptability. As a Technical Control Supervisor, he was instrumental in ensuring seamless data communication for Marine Corps personnel across the Middle East, supporting strategic operations and troubleshooting issues under tight deadlines.
After his time in the Marine Corps, Turner brought his expertise to the private sector with VIASAT, where he continued to demonstrate his ability to manage global telecommunications networks and support critical infrastructure. Today, Turner applies his leadership skills and technical proficiency to advance our mission of transforming education.
Turner is currently pursuing a degree in economics at Hillsdale College. With his military-honed discipline and deep technical knowledge, Turner is a key driver of innovation and operational excellence within our team. He’s excited to bring his expertise to our mission of transforming education through innovative software solutions.
